Five years ago, I created a fictional company called ClearCoast. What started as a eco-friendly surf brand has developed into a crowd funding platform focused around coastal communities and initiatives. Stay tuned.
An animated typeface project using original sounds.
T-shirt graphic for the VT Surf Club.
Seaglass Wine Re-design… Did that rhyme? I had such fun developing a new brand for this existing wine company that comes out of Santa Barbara, CA. I aimed for the labeling system to match actual seaglass - a hidden treasure that has undergone a complete, all natural transformation from sharp to smooth. Each unique wine label wraps around the bottle to reveal the beauty within. The logo typeface was developed by hand and vectorized to again mimic the seaglass process. Candles, a wine opener, and wine glass charms are also included to showcase a larger system. I even made the charms myself and used my own personal seaglass collection for the photography and packaging.
Re-design of the Wave Riding Vehicles website. Focused on adding a consistent grid and navigation system for usability while maintaining a laid back, hand done design to match the culture of the surf company. Excuse the pixels; the images were taken from the current website.

This was my attempt at branding a soon to be craft brewery in Floyd, Virginia. Floyd is home to world-famous live music, artists and craftsmen, wineries, friendly people, and is a popular stop along the Virginia Heritage Music Trail called “The Crooked Road.” The folks at Ober Brewery have worked long and hard creating their quirky brand and asked my packaging class to design a labeling system. I decided to embrace the homegrown, music and art inspired feel of Floyd in my packaging with entirely hand done graphics and type.
I was given a class assignment to design a kit for specific audience. Given that I am an animal lover, especially those adorable sea creatures, I chose to design a children’s First Pet Kit. I designed an interactive kit that includes all the needed items for a first pet fish while guiding them through the steps of how to take care of their fish, allows them to journal about their experience, keep track of feeding, etc. All of the illustrations and typography is hand done by me :) Included in the kit is a fill-in-the-blank journal, fish tank, fish food, water cleaner, a fish net, two customized sticker sets, and tank accessories.
Check out my online-journal where I recently started posted three things that make me smile each day:
A logo and poster I designed for Surf Club here at VT.
A video Juli Keller and I made for a new crowd sourcing company called Pledgecents.
I was assigned to find packaging to redesign so I went with a German brewery that claims to be the first organic brewery in the world! Pinkus’s current design is shown with my redesigned packaging.
moodfood : A personal cook book that caters to your specific mood at any given time.
Logo animation for a fictitious non-profit organization called Clearcoast. I also designed the final logo.
A poster I designed for the upcoming Quiksilver’s Junior Pro. Now if only they would use my artwork…
